1. Housing
The housing is made of hard aluminum alloy, treated with anodization and polyester powder coating, featuring excellent corrosion resistance.
It offers a choice of protection grades: IP65 or IP67 (IP68 is available on customization).
2. Motor Protection
To protect the motor from overheating, two series-connected thermal switches are installed in each winding of the three-phase motor. After integrating them into the control circuit, they can prevent damage to the motor caused by excessive winding temperature. Compared with thermal overload relays, thermal switches provide better protection because their temperature-sensing elements are located inside the motor. Once the temperature of any winding exceeds 120°C, the thermal switch wil cut off the control power supply. When the winding temperature drops to 90°C, the motor will restart. The motor protection device is involved in external wiring control.
3. Valve Control
The encoder of the intelligent electric actuator has replaced the traditional potentiometer for valve position testing. It adopts a magnetic induction absolute encoder to ensure position accuracy, and can accurately record the valve position without a battery when the actuator is powered off.
4. Infrared Setting
All settings and diagnostics of the actuator can be performed through the sealed indicator window, eliminating the need to open the electrical box cover on site and exposing the internal control circuit. The effective communication distance between the setter and the window is 1-1.5 meters.
5. Local Control
The on-site control switch and the locking-type on-site/stop/remote selector are magnetic switches without a through shaft. They control by acting on the internal Hal switch of the actuator, ensuring the actuator's requirements for sealing and moisture resistance.
6. Torque Switch
It provides overload protection and automatically cuts off the power supply when the valve is stuck or there is a foreign object, thus more effectively protecting the valve and electric actuator from damage.
7. Terminal Block
In the terminal box with a double-seal protection design, when the terminal cover is opened for on-site wiring, the separately sealed terminal box also ensures the sealing integrity of the electrical components inside the electric actuator. The connection between the actuator's motor and the control unit is made through terminals.
